Download Fairy Tail 129 in HD!So for this weeks review, we get a relatively entertaining but still a staid filler episode, and while some great does happen, the few minutes is where things pick up and get exciting. This filler episode doesn’t follow up on the last one, so we get a side story only from this episode, and the focus is mainly on Natsu’s challenge to Laxus.
[GoogleAd]Now in the last episode we get to meet Michelle Lobster who gives Lucy a gift from her father, which apparently looks like a huge ass key. This current episode is somewhat anticlimactic as it does not follow up on the last story and appears more like a half time break before we get back to business. Anyway, for this episode we see Natsu taking on Laxus once more. Natsu does have this nasty habit of going after characters who appear stronger than him. Just maybe he has very poor self esteem issues.
I didn’t really like the part of focusing on Laxus. Eventually Laxus gets challenged by Natsu and Gajeel, and Fairy Tail makes a Super Bowl event out of it. However, the battle lasts for a couple of seconds and was pretty disappointing. As far as “fan service” with regards to extended battle scenes, this was pretty boring and disappointing. Gajeel doesn’t even fight despite challenging Laxus, which is uncharacteristic of our villain turned hero. It makes you wonder why he challenged Laxus into fight along with Natsu. Hmm, that is pretty intriguing.
An interesting note to this episode though, is Gray/Erza going on a mission with Juvia in pursuit as usual. If you are a fan of the Gray/Erza pairing then you would like this particular part of the episode. Anyway, for a spoiler, one scene has Erza, ordering Gray to strip, then to bed with Juvia hearing this and going nuts with whatever that might imply considering that Erza can be pretty dense and she probably wouldn’t even realize what that would imply. It still did manage to make Gray uncomfortable with the situation. The last few scenes of this episode has an attack happening on Fairy Tale happening near the end of this episode.
