You can't escape Ameryuri! Omoi has his hands full avenging his friends. Naruto Shippuden 289 review.

Yurui's unit is requesting a backup. Word is his unit got attacked by single, but very powerful opponent, former member of Seven Ninja Swordsmen, Ameryuri Ringo. Kakashi hopes to neutralize her Lightning Style with his own, se he along with Guy rush to help.

 

Yurui, before he died, handed over his responsibility to Nurui. Realizing there are only 5 survivors in their unit and Ameryuri will come back, Nurui orders retreat. Omoi doesn't like it, but when Nurui says the obvious, which is that they stand no chance against her, Omoi caves in… for now. War is after all not a place for revenge.

 

Plan is to create a diversion and try to escape. Maybe the reinforcements will arrive in time to save them. Nurui throws paper bombs at trees so to show that they were fighting. Omoi realized that these bombs will reveal them to their enemy. He also realized the cowardice of their new leader. Seeing that Ameryuri is just behind them, he decided to make a stance. He will fight her even if it means dying on this day.

 

Omoi didn't wait long. To Ameryuri killing is a thrill so when she spotted Omoi she went at him right away. Omoi skillfully engaged his deception cloud style and she missed Omoi and sliced a big log instead. Ameryuri wasn't pleased. She is not the kind that is used to being tricked. Calling for Thunderbolt, she electrified Omoi.

 

If he is to beat this crafty creature he must use his Hidden Mist Slice consisting of signing clones to help him execute the best decoy.

Ameryuri signed Depth charge which overpowered Omoi. Standing above him she heard other enemies approaching so she decided to postpone killing him and deal with another thrill. Just as soon she was done with Nurui she turned back on Omoi. "Bring me down? Are you still talking nonsense?" She egged him on. "I had planned to lick you from the beginning. My flavor today is apple candy and your name Ameryuri Ringo means just that!" Omoi snapped as he dropped his lollypop and drew his bokken.

 

Ameryuri called of a Thunder Gate and the lightning has begun. The ground has shaken ad cracked. This was a place of bottomless marsh and both started sinking. It turns out this was Nurui's plan all along. He along with his comrades created number of these marshes to trap Ameryuri in. None of them made it, but Omoi got her where Nurui wanted him to. Deep in the marsh, helpless and hopeless, Ameryuri kept on sinking.

 

In the nick of time Kakashi and Guy showed up and saved Omoi from the marsh. There is hero coming of all this after all.

 

Kakashi and Guy get a message from headquarters. Naruto and Killer are heading towards them.

 

Location called "The Hole" has been reserved for sacred use. The Hole keepers have been killed. Naruto, Sakura, Sai and (surprise!) Yamato are asked to find the killer and carry out the punishment.
