In this latest arc, there's one thing that is obvious - the heroes are undergoing some tough and creative problems. Each one of them had some great developments with regards to their general character arc, and hard trials helped to mold them. And this week's episode, Juvia faces the hardest situation in her entire life. The story continues to be more exciting because there are still more to look forward to.
The episode started with Lucy and Happy trying to pull out Natsu from the rocks, but it's funny because he can break the rocks himself. They have defeated their enemies and they are thinking what's the next step. And now, this is the moment where the series turns to a curve. The viewers might thought that things will be better now that Natsu, Lucy, Loke and Gajeel won with their fights, but this is just the start of an impending danger.
Danger one: The threat of firing the Etherion by the Magic Council. Let's admit it, eventhough Mest (Dragonbalt) is a spy, there's still a tiny goodness left in his heart. He came back to the island and helped in preparing the evacuation of everyone. And also, the Fairy Tail people didn't hesitate with Mest's offer of help. However, if Fairy Tail just chickened out and ran, Grimoire Heart will still capture Zeref, and it's over for the entire world. It is also obvious that the Etherion can't kill Grimoire Heart, he will be protected by Purehito and Bluenote. So who is this guy named Bluenote? So far, he is just the most powerful enemy ever created in Fairy Tail. The introduction of his character in this episode created a hype. Bluenote has an unbelievable strength and the Magic Council is weak against him. His magic has a power to cause earth tremors. Bluenote is unstoppable! If only Gildarts will just return, he can take down Bluenote. They are a perfect match and it will definitely create waves of excitement for all the fans. It's like Godzilla versus Tyrannosaurus Rex. And poor Island, it will not handle the fierce battle of these two!
Cana is still walking her own selfish path. Some people may sympathize and feel sad for her, but it's unacceptable to always hear her say that she wants to become an S-Class Mage, forgetting the guild and her friends' concern. Next is, Gray finally saw Ultear. He looks at her with a face similar to Ul, his mentor. He even thought that maybe there's a a chance that she's really Ul.
And the main event of the episode is the great battle with Meldy. At first, Juvia is having a hard time fighting her and Erza is no match also. Meldy is already furious and said that she's dying to kill Gray Fullbuster! This statement has triggered something inside of Juvia, and Meldy has no clue that she's now in trouble. Juvia has transformed into something with monster-like powers! Meldy can't keep up with Juvia now. Erza didn't interfere with the fight anymore because she knows Juvia doesn't need her help. Meldy's greatest mistake was to involve Gray.
However, Meldy is not giving up on this fight. She finally used her sensory magic that can link Juvia to Gray. If Juvia gets hurt, Gray feels it too. But Juvia didn't let Meldy hurt her, it was easy for her to throw hits on Juvia. Here comes the ultimate twist, Meldy links herself to Juvia and Gray! So it means that if any of them gets hurt, Gray will have to endure everything! Juvia can't let herself be killed, and she can't kill Meldy.
Juvia may have proven his credibility as a powerful S-Class mage but this dilemma will surely test Juvia's mental power to think and act quick. She has to defeat Meldy without killing Gray. And for Cana, she should follow Juvia's path in her dream to become an S-Class Mage, she will learn a lot from her.
