Fairy Tail 100 review

After the intense battle between Natsu and Gildarts, this episode seems like a pause to those crazy things that happened. The prominent theme in this episode is the new character, Mest. This person just popped up from nowhere and no one can remember him. Panther Lily is also puzzled and had this question, “How did Mystogan take a pupil?” because Mest is claiming that he's a disciple of Mystogan. One of the early signs that Mest is not of Fairy Tail is when Gray and Loke easily defeated him. If he really reached the end of the S Class Exam last year, Mest must be really good, but he is a weakling. Gray is starting to doubt Mest and worries about his true identity.

Tenroujima Island is a hidden island with powerful barriers but it has a big secret connected to the Fairy Tail guild. The guild maybe a place for problem kids and strange mages but Fairy Tail is really a holy and ancient guild with a rich history. The whole concept that Fairy Tail has a hidden secret, something that is worth isolating from everyone, is just great. Back to Mest, he must be from the magic council and knows nothing about the secret, but he invites Wendy to come with him and explore the island. Meanwhile, the battle between Mirajane and Elfman/Evergreen turned into a comedic act. When Mirajane is about to give the finishing blow, Evergreen tricks her. She tells her that Elfman is going to marry her. Mirajane got distracted by these remarks and lead to her defeat. Although, many will agree that Evergreen and Elfman can be a great couple.

The people who passed the first test are Natsu and Happy, Gray and Loke, Cana and Lucy, Gajeel and Levy and Elfman and Evergreen. Freed, Bickslow and Gildarts just go back to the guild. Meanwhile, Makarov announces the second stage of the test. It looks like this second test is much easier than the first one, since all they have to do is find the place where the grave of Mavis Vermillion is located within 6 hours. Mavis Vermillion is no other than the first Guildmaster of Fairy Tail. However, this is not an easy task, they have to face lots of huge monsters on the island! They keep on hiding and running just to survive, except for Natsu who is very good in defeating the creatures. Evergreen and Elfman stumbles upon the mysterious dark-haired boy. However, the boy tells them that he is leaving the island. The boy is having problems in controlling his power. He tried to repress it but it still bursted out hitting Evergreen and Elfman! Thanks to Natsu for intervening and saving the two. Natsu starts to confront the mysterious boy who is now in tears.
